Sketch Sunday 6

Sketch Sunday 6

Watercolor pencil, ink, graphite

This week’s sketch is a dragonfly that landed outside our window. One of my favorite things, dragonflies are so inspirational! A good reminder to live in the moment.

Have a good week! Thanks for visiting!

Sketch Sunday 2

This week’s sketch is a small colored pencil sketch. This sketch is inspired by a memory of mine of my youngest brother and me entertaining our grandfather.

Thank you for visiting my blog, have a nice week!

Sketch Sunday 1

I am going to try to post a sketch every Sunday, just to keep myself on track. I sketch or paint almost every day, but find posting to be challenging. So here it goes. Week 1 Sketch Sunday.  A wicked looking flower in a cutesy pot with a chubby little bee buzzing around. ūüôā

Happy Sunday! It is a beautiful day here in Western MA. I hope it is nice where you are too. Get out and enjoy! LE

I was invited to put a piece of my artwork in the UMass Amherst Staff initiative, Building Bridges Worker Exhibition. It was the first time I had an original painting in an official exhibition. I also exhibited five digital images:

I was very happy to see such a large amount of interest in the exhibition. I received a lot of positive feedback about my art, and more importantly, about the exhibition and Building Bridges.

Many thanks to everyone who took the time out of their day to come see my art and to those family and friends who helped me choose the pieces – you know who you are! ūüėÄ

Kidlit Safety Pins

The wonderful Jarrett Krosoczka, author and illustrator, posted on his Facebook and Twitter about adding a safety pin to our characters. Here is his post on Facebook:

So, I have taken up his challenge and post it here, showing my little mouse character and a ladybug friend giving our support and love. #kidlitsafetypins

Day 31 #inktober Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Today is the last day of the project Inktober. I have finished it with a drawing every day for 31 days! Thank you to everyone that has visited my blog to view my little sketches. November is the start of Picture Book Idea Month which is a project I have participated in every year since 2009. I will post along the way to let you know my progress. Sometimes I draw as well for the ideas I get.

Thanks for visiting!
