Today is my Mom’s birthday.  She would’ve been 78 years old today!    I miss her and think of her every day.  She was a sweetheart who lit up a room with her smile.  She loved to sing, dance, and paint.  She loved old movies and could tell you many stories about celebrites from those times.  She taught me to sing “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”.   Happy Birthday Momma, I love you!  I know your spirit is with each and every one of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  When I hear this song I think of you.

Inspiration for this one came from that lovable duo, Calvin & Hobbs.  Sisters:  You may recognize the gray little fellow….yes, its Peter Possum!  :)

One of my shows I watch, Dirty Sexy Money, had a band on it the other night.  I liked the song and wanted to hear more.  I looked them up on the net and here is their website.  They are a husband and wife duo from CA.  My favorite song so far is this one.  Check them out, you might like them too!

President-Elect Barack Hussein Obama

I am so happy and proud to be a part of history in the making.  Senator Obama was elected to the office of Presidency on Nov. 4, 2008.    I am sooooooo happy!  All of our hard work, time, and stress was so worth it.  I don’t know about some of you other Obama fans, but the week before the election was the most stressful week I think I’ve experience in a long time!  Ahhh to rejoice now!  Change has come to America.  If you haven’t watched Obama’s acceptance speech, please do so here.  Also, President-elect Obama has started a new website, check it out here.  Look under America Serves.  I am highly excited about that!  Thanks to all who voted for him, I am sending you a big hug.  To all the McCain/Palin fans, I am sending you a peace sign.  Let’s all work together to give our country back its dignity and prosperity.
