Congratulations to my fellow 12×12’ers! We’ve made it! It’s the half way point!
In January I started out with lots of creativity and finished the month with my full manuscript, as per the rules. February arrived with lots of health problems in my family. I had to make multiple trips 3 hours away to doctors and surgeons. Somehow, during the final week, I was able to write a MS. Crazy enough, it is one that I feel is the most promising. March, April and May were very busy with college classes. My Spring term had very interesting classes, but very challenging ones also. 4 Term Papers and 4 Finals started June off with a bang. Thanks to the many blog posts I read and the lurking on the 12×12 FB page, I was able to be inspired by my fellow writers and still meet the challenge each month.
Yay! Happy Dance!
June is almost over, and I was inspired early in the month with a story from a status on FB. Inspiration comes from the most unusual places! Don’t blink, because you may miss it!
So, that makes 6 manuscripts I have when prior to January 2012, I only had partial stories or ideas! Amazing! This journey has been one full of fun, inspiration, and challenges. I can’t wait to see what the next 6 months brings us. Thank you Julie, and thank you my fellow participants who inspire me every day!

Wow! Nice work Loni! To get your 6 complete with all that going on in your life is quite an accomplishment!
Loved reading your post and thinking about how ideas actually come to be stories. An “idea” can be an amazing thing!
Loni Edwards 28/06/2012
Thanks Eric for the nice comment. Yes, when our own lives get so crazy, it is easy to miss those inspirational moments. I am slowly learning to grab onto them when they flit by 🙂

Wow, and I thought my year had been busy with doctor’s and hospital visits! Yours sounds even more so. Well done on getting a draft a month written despite all the busy-ness. Isn’t it amazing what can be done when there are set goals to motivate us? Hope everyone is doing better now and fingers crossed for no more doctors/hospitals for your family.
Loni Edwards 28/06/2012
Still a doctor or two ahead with who knows what is in store. 🙁 But hopefully not near as intense as the previous stuff! Thank you Jo. Best of luck to you and I wish the same good health to you and your family! Congrats on half-way! We can do it!

I certainly hope those you love are now in good health, that you passed all exams and, more importantly than grades, you feel good about your academic, literary and family-glue achievements! Wow! Thanks for the happy-dance!
Loni Edwards 28/06/2012
Thank you Julie! Yes, this past term showed me I can accomplishment a lot academically. It is amazing how much when pushed a person can do. It wasn’t the most fun term, but I finished very well, better than I had anticipated. For that I am so very grateful to myself. Thanks for your comment!
